KOH Conversion Project - Phase I

Occidental Chemical awarded Beard Construction Group the civil contract which included underground piping, concrete foundations and structural steel erection for Phase I of the KOH Conversion Project at the Occidental Chemical plant in Taft, LA. Sequence of the work included excavation and the concrete pour for the bottom of the sumps. The sump walls were formed, poured, and wrecked followed by the electrical installation. Area paving, trenches, octagon foundations, piers, pads and curbing were placed with anchor bolts are specified. Final installation included the steel erection, roofing and metal siding.
