Gas Storage Project - 40 Acre Site Work

In addition to a 30 acre site work contract to construct brine ponds, Beard was awarded the contract to construct an additional 40 acre site which will support the administrative and operations building, a pipeline interconnection, a compressor station and two underground commercial storage cavern for storing natural gas. This was a FERC approved facility.
 

The Scope of Work Included:

  • Clearing and grubbing
  • Removal of 155,832 CY of topsoil.
  • 139,640 CY of structural fill
  • 2,024 LF RCP 12” - 30” diameter pipe
  • 78 Tons of rip rap
  • 13,242 SY sub-base compaction for roads and parking
  • 13,833 SY of filter fabric for crushed stone surfacing
  • 2,352 SY concrete paving
  • Installation of catch basins, 36 X 36 slide gates with anchors
  • Mass earthwork for lay-down, parking and temporary facilities
  • Finish grading
  • 139,646 SY topsoil replacement
  • Seeding and mulching 31 Acres
  • 92,302 CY of mass earthwork for lay-down, parking and temporary facilities
