Stueve Construction Company awarded Beard the $2.6 millioncontract to perform the site-work for a new dry fertilizer storage building with truck and rail shipping access, located on a 50 Acre site in St. James Parish, Louisiana.Yara's new warehouse will provide local markets direct access to imported fertilizer, as well as increased access for rail-served agricultural markets.

Scope Included:

  • 22,239 CY of Excavation
  • 4,424 CY of Compacted Fill for Roadbed & Railroad
  • 12,000 Tons of Crushed Limestone
  • 174 LF of 18”, 24” & 36” ADS Drainage Pipe
  • 12,310 SY of Asphalt
  • Truck Scale Foundation/Pad Construction
  • 8 Acres of Hydroseeding
  • Furnish & Install New Rail Materials for 8,900 Track Feet
    • Apply Ballast to Newly Constructed Rails
    • Install Switches
  • Levee Revetment
