BCG was awarded the $12.25 million civil contract for the Flare Gas Control Project, which included construction of concrete compressor foundations, pipe rack foundations, flow metering platforms and miscellaneous supports at ExxonMobil's Beaumont Refinery.

 

 

 

Shintech Louisiana, LLC awarded Beard Construction Group the $4.36 million contract for site development at the new Shintech manufacturing facility located on an 80 acre site in Plaquemine, LA. The scope of work includes site clearing and grubbing, demolition, erosion control, stripping, cut/fill grading, firewater loop installation, site drainage, stabilization, and stone road installation. Beard was awarded an additional $3.8 million for activities which included backfilling the rainwater reservoir, building new roads with associated drainage piping, new concrete pump pit, underground piping and new firewater piping.

 

Beard was awarded the civil construction for a new plant facility which will provide aluminum based chemicals to the Criterion facility in Port Allen, Louisiana.

 

Beard was awarded the $5.6 million contract to develop the twenty acre site of ADA’s first Activated Carbon production facility. Beard was awarded an additional $2.4 Million contract for the installation of fire water and storm sewer piping.

 

 

 

Marchand Construction subcontracted the mass grading scope of work to Beard for the construction of a new bottling facility for Coca-Cola. The mass grading included: clearing, grubbing, stripping, excavation, embankment and the storm-water drainage. Beard performed additional site-work, roads, and concrete, which was added to the original scope of work and contract.

 

Stueve Construction Company awarded Beardthe $2.6 million contract to perform the site-work for a new dry fertilizer storage building with truck and rail shipping access, located on a 50 Acre site in St. James Parish, Louisiana.  Yara's new warehouse will provide local markets direct access to imported fertilizer, as well as increased access for rail-served agricultural markets.

 

In addition to a 30 acre site work contract to construct brine ponds, Beard was awarded the contract to construct an additional 40 acre site which will support the administrative and operations building, a pipeline interconnection, a compressor station and two underground commercial storage cavern for storing natural gas. This was a FERC approved facility.

 

Beard was awarded the contract to construct a 30 acre site consisting of three brine pond storage facility to support an underground gas storage cavern. The brine ponds included primary east pond, a primary west pond and a secondary pond all lined with a conductive HDPE liner for leak detection. The facility will be adding a compressor station and for the storage and transport of natural gas.

 

Mississippi Power awarded Beard Construction Group a $3.4 million contract to construct the North Ash Management Unit comprised of a 30 acre cell, 3 acre runoff pond , leachate collection system, pumping structure, 3200 LF haul road extension, concrete outfall structure, wheel wash system, and a MCC Building.

 

Beard Construction Group was awarded the site preparation for a new solid fuel 600 MW generating unit to be located on a 50 acre site at Cleco's Rodemacher Power Station. The scope of work included site preparation, parking, lay-down area, conveyor access route, barge unloading facility and the storm water drainage system. The project has been published in Construction Executive magazine as one of "2007's Notable Projects”.
