The contract to upgrade 4.3 miles of Lake Long Road was awarded to Beard at a contract value of $2.225 million for phase I. Over 57,000 tons of crushed stone had to be transported in 36 barges from Missouri. The project was scheduled to be completed in 90 days. Beard completed the project in approximately 60 days.
Phase I
Scope of Work:
  • Clearing & Grubbing
  • Scarifying 22,500 feet of Roadway
  • 8,000 CY of Excavation
  • 20,000 CY of Off-Site Borrow Material
  • 57,000 Tons of Crushed Stone - placed on 4.3 miles of roadway at a depth of 14"
  • 1,080 LF of Storm-Water Drainage Pipe - 12", 18" and 24" diameters
Phase I
Scope of Work:
  • 32,000 CY of Borrow
  • 4,000 CY of Excavation
  • 14,000 LF of Silt Fence
  • 2,500 LF of Storm Drain Piping
  • 10 Acres of Clearing
  • 85,000 Tons of Limestone
  • 18 Acres of Grassing & Erosion Control
