The contract for the construction of 2.97 miles of the multi-use trail adjacent to the Natchez Trace Parkway was awarded to Beard at a contract value of $5.5 million. The work includes grading, aggregate base, asphalt surfacing, drainage and other miscellaneous work.

 

Walton Construction, general contractor, was awarded the contract for the Joint Force Headquarters at Camp Beauregard. The contract value totaled approximately $30 million. Walton Construction awarded Beard Construction Group the civil construction phase which included the site work, drainage, parking lots, access roads, building pad and concrete foundations. Over 98% of the work was performed by Beard’s own forces.

 

The contract to upgrade 4.3 miles of Lake Long Road was awarded to Beard at a contract value of $2.225 million for phase I. Over 57,000 tons of crushed stone had to be transported in 36 barges from Missouri. The project was scheduled to be completed in 90 days. Beard completed the project in approximately 60 days.
